TIPS Construction Project Spotlights

Fabricon Modular for Dekalb County Board of Education

Project Overview:

As part of an ongoing facilities management program, this Alabama school district partnered with Fabricon to deliver additional modular classroom space. Rapid student enrollment growth in the community created an immediate need for two new buildings to complement the two installed during the previous school year. Working in close collaboration with district leaders, the Fabricon team successfully navigated a tight project timeline and the State’s rigorous permitting and inspection requirements. The scope of work included the full design, construction, delivery, and installation of the modular buildings, along with foundations, ramps and stair systems, and skirting.

Quote from Steve Menke, Vice President at Fabricon Modular:

“TIPS has been a tremendous asset to our organization,” said Fabricon Modular Vice President, Steve Menke. “The awarded contract allows us to act in a consultative manner, guiding clients toward the solutions they truly desire. The flexibility in options and pricing helps us deliver the optimum solution for each project. The streamlined TIPS procurement process enables us to act quickly to meet compressed project schedules while offering competitive pricing”.

“We have worked with the Fabricon team for over two years, completing several projects using the TIPS purchasing vehicle.

Clear and consistent communication throughout the planning and construction phases has been crucial in the overall success of each project. Fabricon’s on-site supervision and interaction with the regulatory agencies was key in proper execution of the work.

We enjoyed working together and look forward to the productive classroom environments the buildings will provide for the families of our district.”
