TIPS Construction Project Spotlights
Byrne and Jones Construction for Sterling CUSD
Project Overview:
Bryne & Jones transformed the existing grass softball and baseball fields at Sterling CUSD by updating both with new synthetic turf. This included the excavation, storm sewer installation, base rock installation, turf installation, and final site backfill for both fields. The school district also contracted a separate fencing company to work alongside Bryne & Jones to complete the fencing needs.
Quote from Dalton Pafford, Byrne and Jones Construction Project Manager:
“The TIPS process helped the school get this approved quickly with a fall start date in mind. Due to the expedited process, we were able to start on time and complete both fields prior to March so that the fields were playable for high school’s spring seasons. The cooperative purchasing system allowed us to have direct contact with the school throughout the construction process so that decisions could be made quickly, communication was clear between the two parties, and any potential delays were minimized.”
