TIPS Construction Project Spotlights

KYA Services for Hill College

Project Overview:

KYA partnered with Hill College to transform its softball facility into a state-of-the-art complex that meets NCAA standards. The project included the construction of a new metal hitting and practice facility, complete with artificial turf hitting bays, spray foam insulation and durable netting. Additional upgrades included full-pour concrete dugouts, a mezzanine and enhancements to the playing surface from concrete base, to underlayment, synthetic turf and cooling additives. Other improvements encompassed a new press box, concession stand, artificial turf bullpens, spectator bleachers, road realignment and metal awnings to enhance accessibility and functionality. By leveraging the efficient procurement practices and strong supplier relationships of TIPS Construction contracts, KYA ensured the project stayed on schedule and within budget while meeting the college’s high expectations.

The completed facility elevated Hill College’s softball program, providing athletes with a cutting-edge environment for training and competition. The improvements enhanced not only the college’s softball program but also the overall campus experience for students, staff and visitors.

“Working with KYA has been an absolute joy. The team’s level of conscientious attention to detail and customer satisfaction is off the charts and beyond anything I have experienced in my 30 years in higher education. We can’t wait to work with KYA on projects in the future.”
